Hawkins, TaDaryl D. “P-Nut” Goins –age 34, of Knoxville passed away at U.T Medical Center on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. He was employed by Queener Lawn Service. Preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas Curry and Clara Goins; aunt, Jackie Holloway; adopted brother, Jacquez (Joc) Kpana. Survived by children: TaDaryl, Takeeda, Tadajsia and Shaquan; mother, Mary Goins; father, Kenneth Hawkins; brothers: Kenneth Hawkins Jr., Landris and Deairus Goins; grandmother, Anne Hawkins; aunts, Charlotte and Donna Hawkins, Dorothy (Don) Hughes and Charlesena (Arlandie) Emory; uncles, Rufus Hawkins, Thomas Goins and Luther Holloway; special friends, Kendra and Maria; devoted friend, DeJuan Porter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. Special thanks to Robin Johnson, Cookie Smith and the Hawkins family.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. LOWERY, FREDERICK L. age 66, of Knoxville, TN slept away quietly on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was born in Alcoa, TN on February 26, 1945 to his parents. He was employed with the Department of Energy and retired from University of Tennessee. A faithful member of the Church of the Living God. Preceded in death by parents, Adell & James B. Lowery; sister, Quintella; brother, James Lowery. Survivors devoted daughter, Helen Lowery; sons, Freddie (Dakota), John “JB” Lowery; brothers, Walter, Odell (Pat) Lowery and Richard Young; sisters, Rose (Thomas) Galbraith, Marla (Donnie) Higginbotham, Patricia and Dorothy Lowery; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; devoted former wife, Bessie Lynch; a host of other relatives and friends to numerous to name. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 12:00-1:00 PM with funeral services to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Reverend Edwin & Lydia Benton officiating. Interment to follow at Mt Olive Cemetery- Maryville Pike. Service to conclude with full dove release.

Louise Helena Wynn Mitchell

Mitchell, Louise Helena Wynn– age 84 of Knoxville, went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2011 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.  Preceded in death by husband, Joseph A. Mitchell, Sr. and mother, Lillian B. Wiley.  Survivors are sons: William (Lois) and Paul (Carolyn) Wynn; daughter, Elizabeth Wynn Johnson; devoted stepsons: Marshall (Davetta) Mitchell of Atlanta, GA and Joseph (Audrey) Mitchell, Jr. of Montgomery, AL; sister-in-law, Inez M. Hardin; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends to include David (Pencie) Shell, Rhoda Gore, Alice Lindsey, Paul Daniels, David (‘Cookie”) Ray, Sarah Thompson, the Mitchell, Wynn and Stevens families, Austin High School, Class of 1946, New Hope and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church families.  A special thank you to the Fort Sanders NHC, 2nd floor staff.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow.  Minister Alfred Blount, Eulogist.  Interment will be Friday, May 20, 2011; the family will assemble at Unity Mortuary at 11:45 a.m. to proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  The service will conclude with a full dove release.

Stella Louise Hartsell

Hartsell, Stella Louise “Boot”-born April 8, 1936, went home to be with her heavenly father on May 11, 2011. Stella was a God fearing woman that loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and was always willing to help those in need. She is preceded in death by husband, Ernest; parents, William & Estelle Jones; sister, Sadie Davis; brother Franklin Jones; grandchildren Vince & Kristin and a great-granddaughter Jada. She is survived by children, Ernest, Monica O’Neal, George (Shelia), Russell (Teresa), Vince, Gail (Devery) Cox, Vickie, Brian (Leslye), and Stephanie Davis all of Knoxville; siblings: William, Ella, Judy, Becky, Terry, Dennis, Brenda and Annette all of Knoxville; aunts, Corrine (Von) Lenoir of Sweetwater, TN, Elizabeth Newell of California and Amy Bray of Cleveland, OH; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Special thanks to UT Hospital 12thfloor staff, Mercy Health Systems Oncology Staff, Dr. Cofer and Dr. Baker and UT Hospice Staff.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church.  Reverend Dr. Kelly M. Smith, Jr. Eulogist. Interment will immediately follow the service at Knoxville National Cemetery.  The service will conclude with a full dove release.

Lucille Bell

Bell, Lucille- of Knoxville departed this life on Monday, May 9, 2011 at her home.  She was preceded in death by parents, Zack (Ella) Comer; husband, Robert L. Bell; children: Richard Brown, Joe Alex Woods, Fannie Colquitt and Mary Cile Brown; 7 brothers, 5 sisters and 2 grandsons.  Left to mourn her passing: devoted daughter and caregiver, Betty Brown Reed; other children, Annie P. Dorsett (Richard Dale) and Clarence Bell, both of Knoxville and J.C. (Lola) Comer of Opelika, AL; devoted daughter-in-law, Saundra Johnson; sons-in-law, J.C. Dorsett and Johnny Reed; brothers, Earnest (Linda) Comer of Oak Ridge, Johnny (Martha) Comer of Opelika, AL, Willie Comer of Orlando, FL; sister, Josephine Jones of Auburn, AL; 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews to include a devoted niece, Sarah Rucker of Chicago, IL; devoted cousin, Vera Hill of Oak Ridge, TN; other relatives and close friends to include Mary Buis and Grace McCurdy.  Thank you to Shirley Bates, Smoky Mountain Hospice, Pearl Marion, Ginger, Jamie and a special thank you to Dr. A.
