LOWERY, FREDERICK L. age 66, of Knoxville, TN slept away quietly on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was born in Alcoa, TN on February 26, 1945 to his parents. He was employed with the Department of Energy and retired from University of Tennessee. A faithful member of the Church of the Living God. Preceded in death by parents, Adell & James B. Lowery; sister, Quintella; brother, James Lowery. Survivors devoted daughter, Helen Lowery; sons, Freddie (Dakota), John “JB” Lowery; brothers, Walter, Odell (Pat) Lowery and Richard Young; sisters, Rose (Thomas) Galbraith, Marla (Donnie) Higginbotham, Patricia and Dorothy Lowery; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; devoted former wife, Bessie Lynch; a host of other relatives and friends to numerous to name. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 12:00-1:00 PM with funeral services to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Reverend Edwin & Lydia Benton officiating. Interment to follow at Mt Olive Cemetery- Maryville Pike. Service to conclude with full dove release.
