Hartsell, Stella Louise “Boot”-born April 8, 1936, went home to be with her heavenly father on May 11, 2011. Stella was a God fearing woman that loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and was always willing to help those in need. She is preceded in death by husband, Ernest; parents, William & Estelle Jones; sister, Sadie Davis; brother Franklin Jones; grandchildren Vince & Kristin and a great-granddaughter Jada. She is survived by children, Ernest, Monica O’Neal, George (Shelia), Russell (Teresa), Vince, Gail (Devery) Cox, Vickie, Brian (Leslye), and Stephanie Davis all of Knoxville; siblings: William, Ella, Judy, Becky, Terry, Dennis, Brenda and Annette all of Knoxville; aunts, Corrine (Von) Lenoir of Sweetwater, TN, Elizabeth Newell of California and Amy Bray of Cleveland, OH; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to UT Hospital 12thfloor staff, Mercy Health Systems Oncology Staff, Dr. Cofer and Dr. Baker and UT Hospice Staff. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Reverend Dr. Kelly M. Smith, Jr. Eulogist. Interment will immediately follow the service at Knoxville National Cemetery. The service will conclude with a full dove release.
