Denise was such a very special person. I will never forget her sense of caring and her sense of humor. God Bless.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Harvey, Family, and Friends,
It was with great shock that I received the news of Denise’ passing. I am truly sorry for your loss and know that my hometown is diminished by her absence. I cherished our friendship and only wish that I could have spent more time with her. Be of good courage in these trying days. Our prayers are with you.
Edwina,
I’m so sorry for your lost. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
I sure miss chatting with you when you were at the McNabb doughnut.
My sorrow is trumped by my belief that Denise is in a much better place, and knowing her, there is a Carnival in heaven right now. May God’s peace be with her family and friends. We will all miss you Denise.
To the family of Denise:
I did not know her very well, but she was always kind to me, and smiling, and easy going. I enjoyed our conversations and considered her to be a friend. She will be missed here on campus.
Denise was one of the finest women I have ever met. A lady and such a compassionate person. She had a wonderful sense of humor and saw the world in an amazing way. It was a blessing that she and I crossed paths. The world has lost an amazing woman, and heaven has gained a beautiful spirit. Thank you for sharing Denise with the rest of us.
Denise and I were classmates at Holston High School. We both were in the class of 72. I am shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. Her family has my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Shirley Harris

My love and Prayers are with the Harveys during this difficult time.
My deepest sympathies to the Harvey family. Dr. Harvey was more than a professor to me during my time at Knoxville College – he was an example of what hard work, discipline and strong character could produce.
As I come to guide my own children, I often reflect on his stern guidance to me, and the affection hidden in strength which has helped me to develop the character I portray.
Dr. Harvey, my prayers and thoughts are with you and Mrs. Harvey and your family.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
A Pupil for life!
I am so very very sorry for your loss of your daughter, Denise. May you all find comfort through your faith in God, and may He grant you peace and understanding. My prayers are with each of you.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Teddi Fritts

From the inaugural AAIG graduating class of 2006, may God have comfort to the family, and may Dr. Harvey RIP. She was a wonderful lady, and was on of the ones there at UTK that kept me on the straight and narrow. I appreciate her life and legacy that she leaves behind, but always remember that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Be blessed 🙂
