Brown, Kevin L. – born November 27, 1962 in Knoxville, TN. He departed his life peacefully on September 8, 2013. He was the fifth child out of nine born to the parents of Thurman Lloyd Brown and Ethel Lee Brown-Minor. He attended Austin East High School and further his education at Job Corp. Kevin was employed at The University of Tennessee Medical Center for 27 years faithfully. Kevin loved outdoors activities after a long day work and spending time with his children. He was preceded in death by: his father, Thurman Lloyd Brown; grandparents, John Henry Atkins and Odessa L. Atkins; uncle, Larry Atkins, cousin, Allison Opara; brother, Kenneth Clemons; nephew, Evan Jaileth Anderson and brother in law, Isaiah Robertson. He leaves to cherish his memory to celebrate his life:  son, Kevin Trevon Brown and daughter, Sierra Janae Brown; mother, Ethel L. Brown-Minor; sisters, Frankie (Bruce) Anderson, Valinda T. Owens, Druscilla A. Robinson, Angela D. Brown and Beverly (Charles) Holland;  brothers,  Patrick L. Owens, Thurman B. Brown and Larry D. Brown; aunts, Mary Brown and  Willow Nicholson all of Knoxville, TN.; a host of nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; cousins and friends to include devoted friend, Tina Stevens; significant other, Shelley R. Rutherford. Special thanks to University of Tennessee Oncologists Dr. Stephen S. Miller, Dr. Gary, Dr. Franklin, nurse Jamie, Donna Boxell and the entire staff of the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM with funeral services to follow at 5:00 PM at Community Evangelistic Church 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike Knoxville, TN 37914. Rev. Lewis Porter officiating.
