(Nancy_Cannon_program) Cannon, Nancy E. Kemp. –age 80, departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Cannon, Sr.; parents, Edward (Maggie) Kemp; grandson, Timothy Cannon, Jr.; three sisters and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted daughter, Lois (Michael) Brown; four sons: Robert (Selena) Cannon, Jr. of Dayton, OH, Arthur (Aly), Daniel (Patrice) and Timothy Cannon, Sr., all of Atlanta, GA; three sisters: Jacqueline Barton, Lois Keith and Geneva Ware; one brother, Melvin R. Kemp, Sr.; twelve grandchildren to include two devoted grandchildren, Keosha Anderson and Edward Cannon;  fourteen great grandchildren; many cousins and friends to include special friends: Earnestine McDowell, Annette Aryen , Marion Williams, Gail D. Smith and Margaret Drake.  The family is at 3700 Selma Avenue. Thursday, June 30, 2011, the family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Avenue. Reverend George C. Banks officiating.  Interment will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the East Tennessee State Veterans’ Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike.  The service will conclude with a full dove release.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations be made in memory of Nancy E. Cannon to Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Avenue, Knoxville, TN  37914.
