James Brown, Jr., age 29, was born on Sept. 21, 1986 in Henrico County Richmond, VA and departed from us on Oct 21, 2015 at UT Hospital in Knoxville, TN surrounded by family and friends. He had love and passion for his family, working at Westgate Resorts, Mr. Cool, performing his music, and seizing every opportunity to be a kind friend. Cherishing his fond memories are parents, James & Lucy (Pagan) Brown; step mother, Pamela Brown; son, Malcolm Brown; brothers, Aaron (Destiny), Calvin, Coley, & Eric; sisters, Regina (Garrett) & Anita. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins will miss him greatly. His laugh, compassion, and smile will always be remembered. Viewing is at Unity Mortuary (1425 McCalla Ave, Knoxville) on Sunday, October 25, from 4:00 – 8:00. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 12:00-1:00 with funeral services following at New Covenant Baptist Church (10319 Starkey Ln, Knoxville), Rev. Fredrick Brabson officiating.  Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN.
