Sanders, Lizzie G. – transitioned home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wiley Sanders, son, Gilbert Sanders and parents, Shederick and Nelson (Whitaker) Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Lindell (Deborah), Savannah, GA; Tony (Kay-Kay) and Ronald G. Sanders, both of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Mellow Mae Every, Knoxville, TN; Audrey (Nathaniel) Mitchell, Newark, NJ; and Lenora Davis, Knoxville, TN; devoted cousin, Mary Turner, Buffalo, NY. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., with services to follow at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, 520 College Street, Rev. Michel S. E. Caldwell, Officiating. Interment to conclude on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike. Services to conclude with a full dove release.
