Christine Moulden, age 78, of Knoxville, TN, entered into eternal rest with Jesus on April 26, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Rev. Lee Calvin Coleman and Mae D. Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Wilbert Coleman, Edward Coleman and Gary Coleman; and sister, Hattie Mae Coleman. Christine was a loving and compassionate person who always thought of others first. She attended The Concord Original Church of God and was a faithful member until her passing. She spent 35 years helping others as a LPN and Unit Secretary at Parkwest Medical Center. Upon retirement, Christine enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending water aerobics classes at the Davis Family YMCA. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 56 years, Hughie A. Moulden of Knoxville; sons: Kenneth Moulden, Kevin (Kayce) Moulden, Christopher (Kimberly) Moulden of Knoxville, and Ronald Moulden of Murfreesboro; brother, Lee Calvin (Lillie Pearl) Coleman, Jr. of Louisville, MS; two sisters: Cassandra Coleman of Knoxville and Annie Ruth Glenn of Louisville, MS; grandchildren: Haylee (Caleb) Ward of Chattanooga, Blayre Moulden and Maya Moulden of Knoxville; and many devoted friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 12 PM to 1 PM in the William V. Powell, Jr. Memorial Chapel at Unity Mortuary, 1425 McCalla Avenue, Knoxville, with Homegoing Service to follow at 1:00 PM. The final resting place will be at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Boulevard, following the service. A white dove release will conclude the services. Sunday, April 22nd, 2018Evans Korin Hooker, age 56 of Knoxville, departed this life on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. He is preceded in death by wife, Sheila Hooker; father, William (Betty) Mathis; and one brother and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories mother, Corene (Quentin) Davis; his son, Jamarkus Thomas; daughter, Kierra “Cocoa” Smith; grandsons: Omarion, Jaion and Kimon; sisters: Chanteal Hooker, Diane Mathis and Pearl Mathis; brothers: Rev. Larry and William (Candi) Mathis; niece and nephews, Shaneska Williams, Hauns Mathis, Koreesha Penn and several other nieces, nephews, greats and other relatives. The remains of Mr. Hooker will lie in repose on Thursday, April 26, 2018 after 2:00 PM in the William V. Powell, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Unity Mortuary. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Unity Mortuary, with the funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM with Rev. Willie Williams, Sr., officiating.

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018Jacqualine W. Porter, age 79 of Knoxville, fell asleep in death on April 3, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves to cherish fond memories her sons: Dexter & L.A. Willis; daughters: Jaye Lomax, Edwina Chandler, Sandy Porter, Sammie Jo Porter and Missey Bailey; one devoted sister: Joyce Lee Porterfield; extended family to include nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the Bailey and Coots families; and her brothers and sisters of the Southeast congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. The family will assemble at Unity Mortuary on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. for the procession to the final resting place at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Lyon’s View Road, for the 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 1702 Harris Road.
