Muckle, Elnora C. – was born on October 22, 1939 to the union of Carl and Lucille Flemmings. Elnora was raised in the Dante Community and there is where she expired. Family called her “Bobby” and close friends called her “Nora.” She was a graduate of Austin High School class of 1956. Mrs. Muckle was employed at U.T. Medical Center with over 30 years of service until retirement. Elnora enjoyed cooking, baking blackberry and peach cobblers, singing with various gospel groups throughout the city of Knoxville and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis D. Muckle; parents,Carl W. Flemmings and Lucille Flemmings; brother, “Red” Flemmings. She is survived by daughters, Kimberly Muckle-Rocker, Mickey Muckle-McBee, Karen Muckle-Williams (Bruce), Vanessa Askew and son, Curtis Askew; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Eloise Logan and Edward Flemmimgs; a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Tabernacle Baptist Church, class of 1956 and Mr. David Johnson. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 12:00-1:00 PM with service to follow at 1:00PM at Unity Mortuary with Rev. Gerald Littlejohn officiating. Interment will be Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:30 PM, East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier Highway with a full dove release and blanket presentation.

Monday, June 9th, 2014Stephens, Lonzo– of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. Mr. Stephens was a business man and owned and operated, College Cab Company, Soul Record Shop and other businesses in Mechanicsville Area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Stephens; son, Melton Stephens; parents, W.C. “Bob” and Ollie Stephens. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Pat Harvey; granddaughters, Rebekah Harvey and Michelle Teasley; great granddaughters, Arisa Spencer, Taylor Teasley; nieces, Evelyn Simpson, Thelma Rick, (Chattanooga) and Debra Stephens; nephew, Michael Stephens; devoted confidant and friend, Maurice Rodgers and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Unity Mortuary Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:00pm. Pastor Cleveland Jackson, officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Garden. Services to conclude with full dove release.

She leaves behind a daughter, Tanya Smith, son-in-law Charles Smith; son, George (Brandy) Byrd and Brandon (Ann) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Brenda Pridgen and Carolyn Bryd, brother, Robert (Delorse) Byrd; she also leave behind Edith (Fredrick) Jackson; Uncle, Rev.
