Claude “Tap” J. Wade

Wade, Claude “Tap” J. age 56, of Nashville, TN went home to the Heavenly Father to receive his wings on September 19, 2013. Claude was the first child of the Percy Wade and Willie lue Wade. He was born on November 28, 1956 in Vaden, Mississippi. Claude was a 1974 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He served in the United States Army for three years. He confessed a faith in Jesus Christ under the pastorate of the late Reverend Dozier McKinnon at True light Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Wade. He leaves to cherish his memories:  mother, Willie lue Wade of Oak Ridge, TN; four brothers, Roger Wade of Knoxville, TN; Floyd, Lee Arthur Wade of Oak Ridge, TN. and Junior Wade, St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Tina Wade, St. Louis, Missouri; seven aunts, Alma Stevens of Oak Ridge, TN; Clara Anderson and Bobbie (Fred) King of Minneapolis, MN; Dorothy (Albert) Ross and Ruth (Cuppuner), Stout, Hammond, Indiana, Annie Crawford, Omaha, Nebrask, Bernice Gains, Durant Mississippi; three uncles, C.J.Harris of Mnneapolis, MN. and James (Fannie) Hill of Columbus, GA. and J.W. (Virgie) Wade, East Chicago Heights, Illinois; special friends, Spencer Thompson and Nate Mitchell; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with funeral services to follow at True Light Missionary Baptist 3229 George Light Road. Elder Darris Waters, Pastor officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Services to conclude with full military honors and dove release.
