Crippen-Smith, Ethel Roberta – of  Brooks Road, Knoxville passed into eternal rest on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at her residence. Daughter of the late Charlie and Magnolia Smith.  She was employed at The University of Tennessee Medical for many years in the Newborn Nursery where she acquired many friends. She also worked for CAS Walker and The Sanford of Motor Products. She leaves to mourn her passing but cherish her memory: daughters, Sharon Crippen and Pamela Cutwright; grandchildren, Kevin and Crystal Cutwright; great-grandchildren, Jalen Jamichael Hurston and Kayah  Cutwright ; devoted cousin, Essie Goody, Ulysses Thompson and family; two sister-in-laws, Sarah Nelson Crippen and Josie Crippen; extended families of Morganton, North Caroline and Roanoke, VA; devoted niece, Alberta Walker; nephew, James Staples, Jr.; devoted friends Evelyn Carter, Jimmie Ball, Hannah Ellis, Eudora Sharp and Secolise Solomon and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Mount Olive Baptist Church on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 12:00 – 12:30 pm with funeral services to follow. Rev. Dr. LaKisha Reeves, officiating.  Interment to follow at TN State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike. Services to conclude with full dove release.
