Barker, Johnnie Mae Sims – passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Sims, sisters, Bessie Barnett and Hattie Joiner Batman, brother, Hubert Sims and nephew, James H. Joiner. She is survived by: son, Hubert Leon; nieces: Mildred Joiner Simmons, Marilyn (Walter) Spears and Greta Sims Warren; nephew, Elbert Louis (Beverly) Joiner; great nieces: Shannon Bradley, Camilla, Jamie and Yolanda Joiner; great nephews: Walter and Shawn Spears, Jason, Elbert L. and James Joiner, Jr.; many great great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Helen Mostella. A special thank you to Dr. Vandora and nurses at MCI Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.  On Saturday, November 17, 2012, the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. with funeral to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel.  Rev. Harold Middlebrook officiating. Interment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa where a full dove release will conclude the service.
