Haynes, Andrew L. – departed this life and entered into Eternal rest on Thursday, November 7, 2013, in Orange City, FL. He was a former Knoxvillian who lived and worked in New Jersey and spent his retirement years in Florida. He is survived by his wife, Louella F. Haynes; son, Michael (Andrea) Haynes; granddaughter, Celeste Haynes and numerous relatives, extended family and friends. Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN. A memorial service will be held at John Knox Village, Orange City, FL at a later date. Final Arrangements are entrusted to Lankford Funeral Home, De Land, FL and Unity Mortuary, Knoxville, TN.

He was to start Real Estate School on November 4, 2013. He was employed at Central Car Wash & Detailing. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Leonard and daughter, Pamela L. Beene. Joseph is survived by special friend, Pamela Castlemun; brother, Glen and Geri Leonard; sister, Romena Ramsey; son, Joseph G. Leonard, Jr. and wife Sandra; daughter, Kimberly A. Trent; son in law, Jack Beene; grandchildren, Tana, Kristen, Carrie, Travis, Tyler, Tiffany, Sonya and Stacye; 12 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Memorial Service in memory of Joseph will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Unity Mortuary Chapel.

He will be missed by his nieces; nephews; great nieces and great nephews; devoted friend and partner Sarah Cooper (Peanut) and her family. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at New Vision Church, located at 1810 Lovell Road in Knoxville, at 1:00 p.m. Rev. J. Ellis McCleary officiating. She was a member of Bentley Street Christian Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess and usher. She was also a member of the Der Wunderbar Social Club. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, James R. (Judy) Carpenter, Jr., Knoxville, TN.; daughter, Theresa (Troy) Cooper of Atlanta, GA.; granddaughter, Jessica (Prentiss) Foxx; great grandson, Prentiss Jalon Foxx (P.J.) of Murfreesboro, TN.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also an active member of the Payne Ave. Baptist Church for over 60 years and a member of Sigma Gama Rho Sorority, Inc. She was a proud member of the Austin High School class of 1953. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; a dedicated twin sister Athaleen Strong, brother, Murphy Strong, (Eugenia), sister-in-law, Pearlie Strong; devoted niece, Patricia Littlejohn and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, October 2nd 12:00 noon at Payne Ave. Baptist Church with Family visitation hour at 11:00am.
