Lamar, as the family called him. Leaves a warm memory. He was very family oriented and strived to help the young in the family know their history. He always had a interesting conversation and was very, very proud of Black History. I will truly miss him and especially at the Family reunions. He always had an educational and interesting display for the young as well as all ages. I further admire him for continuing to live life although he had a terminal illness. God Bless

Uncle Lamar’s generous and gentle spirit will be with us forever in our hearts. You empowered my daughter to trust and believe in her abilities and for that I am forever grateful. You taught me the importance of taking time to cherish the precious moments in life–for it is during these times when life whispers its eternal lessons. We love you Uncle Lamar and as I watch my daughter work with her clay I see your spirit shining through.

to the family and friends of eddie.we at earthfare grocery really are sad and so shocked by the loss of our friend.this wonderful man was at our store almost every day for maybe a year. he came into the store to nourish his body, however he left us every day with stories, kindness and so much friendship. he always sat in our cafe and carried on conversation with many everyday. he told us of days when he worked on jobs to his passion of art. he was such a kind man and always listened to us as well. he is so greatly missed already and i was honored to have met this wonderful man.
god bess all of you that loved him .
