Jones, Bishop Ellis – age 91, of Chillicothe OH, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional. He was the founder of Holy Highway Church of God, in Cincinnati, OH and Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by loving wife of 50 years Josie L. Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter and caregiver, Patricia (Arthur) Spencer; sons, Ellis L. (Pamela) Jones and Steven (Stephanie) Jones; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eleanora White, Oakland, CA; a host of nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends to include close friends Elder Nell and Mother Middlebrook. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Bishop Dr. Allan Butler officiating. Interment will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the East Tennessee State Veterans’ Cemetery, at 5901 Lyons View Pike. The service will conclude with full military honors and a full dove release.
