Wade, Mae Louise – age 93 years, of Knoxville, TN., passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 5, 2014. She was a faithful member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church and Iota Phi Lambda Sorority. She retired from Knoxville College in 1997 where she was a Professor of Business Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wade; one daughter, Marquinta Brame; parents, and four brothers. She is survived by three children, John (Ruth) Wade, Beverly (Doug) Stokes and Burette (Anne) Wade; sisters, Bertie Candance Bowman (Columbia, MD) and Annie Belle Lackey (Lawrenceville, GA); 5 grandsons and  4 granddaughters; 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michel S.E. Caldwell, officiating. Internment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Carla Gillespie and the staff of NHC St. Mary’s, Renaissance Terrace Assisted Living, Caris Healthcare Hospice and Rev.
