Wade, Mae Louise – age 93 years, of Knoxville, TN., passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 5, 2014. She was a faithful member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church and Iota Phi Lambda Sorority. She retired from Knoxville College in 1997 where she was a Professor of Business Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wade; one daughter, Marquinta Brame; parents, and four brothers. She is survived by three children, John (Ruth) Wade, Beverly (Doug) Stokes and Burette (Anne) Wade; sisters, Bertie Candance Bowman (Columbia, MD) and Annie Belle Lackey (Lawrenceville, GA); 5 grandsons and 4 granddaughters; 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michel S.E. Caldwell, officiating. Internment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
