Matthews, Hattie departed this life on April 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnetta Matthews; father, Jesse Ward; son, Martes Matthews. She is survived by her sons, Donny and Anthony (Tonya) Matthews; sisters and brother-in-law, Sonia (Garfield) Wilson, Sherry and Shannon Matthews; aunt, Mary Rose, and a host of other family members, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6:00-6:30 PM with services to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel with Elder Farris Long officiating.
