Gillespie, Janie Mae (Sister), age 74 transitioned from this earth to heaven at her residence on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. A member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, retired from St. Mary’s Medical Center and a member of the Austin High School Class of 1958. Preceded in death by son, DeWayne Perry Gillespie; her parents, James E. and Hildrith D. Johnson Gillespie; and other relatives. She will be remembered by her children, Juanita G. (Phillip) Harris, Paul Gillespie I, Lisa G. Davis and Carol Gillespie; siblings, Frank Gillespie, Sylvia (James) Hughes, Dr. J. Harvey and Hildrith C. Gillespie, Darneta Brown and Bonita Gillespie; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to include Linda Morris, and Earlene Conner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 P.M. with funeral service to follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Leroy Franklin, Officiating. Interment at New Gray Cemetery. Services to conclude with full dove release.
