Hodson, Witt Isaac Jr. – age 59 of Knoxville, TN passed away after a lengthy illness on April 26, 2009. He was born November 19, 1949 to the union of Witt Hodson, Sr. and Jamesena Walker Hodson. He graduated from Austin East High School, class of 1969, where he was an outstanding track and star half-back. He later became an outstanding football player at Knoxville College. Thereafter, he was employed by Alcoa Aluminum Company in Alcoa TN, and later employed for many years at Lakeshore Mental Health Institute. Ultimately, Witt Jr. should be remembered to all for his caring spirit which was demonstrated to all who knew him. If you knew Witt, you were immediately introduced to love and generosity. He had a great heart and warm and loving spirit. Preceded in death by parents, Witt Hodson, Sr. and Jamesena Walker Hodson; sister, Brenda Hodson. He leaves to cherish his memories; daughter, Atty. Wanielle Hodson, Nashville, TN; sons, Atty. Kevin Muckles, Nashville, TN, Jabbar Whiteside, Knoxville, TN; brothers, Ronald Griffin, Steven Hodson, Knoxville, TN and Paul Davis, Knoxville, TN; step-brothers, Wando, and Gary Stacy; a host of friends and family to include devoted step-mother; Sharon Hodson Fitzgerald; very and devoted friend, Deborah Griffin. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 Noon at Unity Mortuary Chapel with memorial service to follow. Brother Dale Scott,officiating. Inurnment at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
