Reece, Janet L. (Weaver) – born September 18, 1950 transitioned to Heaven on June 5, 2013 and is now resting in the bosom of Jesus Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life: daughters Yolanda Reece, Knoxville, TN., and Olympia Reece, Atlanta, GA.; grandsons, Valentino Thomas, Atlanta, GA., Ahmod and JaQuan Reece, Knoxville, TN., Zion and Joshua Berry, Knoxville, TN., and Valentino Thomas Jr., Atlanta, GA.; a host of uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Kindred Transitional Care, Maryville, TN. The family will receive friends at Unity Mortuary on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm with funeral services to follow. Rev. John Ghosten, officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at New Gray Cemetery, 10:00am.
It was with much sadness when I heard about the passing of Janet Reece. I grew up with her daughters and she was always very kind. My prayers are with her family and friends during this time of bereavement.
One way that God provides comfort is through his word the Bible. (Rom. 15:4) Why not keep a list of scriptures that are comforting to you?” Grieving is not an overnight process. But the Bible can provide comfort, for it assures us that in the new world that God promises to bring about. You too many find that meditating on such promises will help you to cope with the loss of your loved one. Some have been comforted As we face the pain of losing someone we love. The Bible gives us comfort in our time of grief. One day the last enemy death will be brought to nothing. (1 Cor. 15:26) Jesus gave his human life for us by letting his blood be shed as a sacrifice. Then He ascended to heaven & once for all time our offered blood to God. (Heb. 9:11,12) That laid the basis for the forgiveness of, all mankind the value of his shed
