Hines, Calvin Curtis (Kirby) – age 54 accepted his new wings and joined up with the angels on April 12, 2013 at his residence. Calvin was employed by S & S Cafeteria. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Franklin D. Hines; mother, Arrie Hines ; step-father, Nathaniel Swanson; brother, Anthony  Hines (Tom Cat); grandparents , Calvin (Myra) Hines and George (Callie) Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Mattie Hines; son, Eric Lewis; daughter, Monique Brown; brothers, Franklin D. (Rose) Hines, Spartanburg, SC, George (Maxine) Hines, Johnson City, TN, Johnny Hines, Nathaniel (Faye) Swanson, Knoxville, TN ; sisters, Mary Hall, Chattanooga, TN, Edna Hines, Kimberly Swanson, Tammy (Terry) Logan all of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kanesha Wade, Fudorewyal Wyle and Tayshawn Brown all of Knoxville, TN; special and devoted friend Janet MeCray; devoted aunt, Ophelia  Johnson, Knoxville, TN; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 11:00am to 12:00noon with funeral services to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel.  Rev. Steve Simpson, officiating. Interment to immediately follow at TN State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy. Services to conclude with full dove release.
