Martin, Carol Yvonne – went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. Born February 25, 1950 to Overa Tinsley and (stepfather) Isaac Tinsley. She was a faithful member of First Calvary Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School, Bible Study, and church until her health failed. Carol loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and loved to cook and loved joking with her sister Minnie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Overa Tinsley and stepfather Isaac Tinsley; sister, Lavera Brown. She leaves to mourn her passing; daughters, Latosha and Anthony Johnson, Karen and Jasmine Martin; grandchildren Jeremy, Kristi, Skyler, Darin, Kenny, Shamarcus and Tyson. Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 11:30 AM -12:00 Noon with funeral service to follow at First Calvary Baptist Church. Reverend Benjamin Lewis officiating. Service to conclude with a dove release.
