Kelvin L. Burris, of Knoxville, TN, went to join his heavenly Father on April 22, 2019 at the age of 58. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Burris Sr., and three brothers: Charles, Kenneth, and Herman Jr. He is survived by his mother, Rosalee Burris; daughter, Kellye Lett; two granddaughters: Aliyah and Jazmine; sister, Emma Burris; brothers: Saleem (Shahidah) Sharif and Michael (Vicki) Burris; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family including McDonald’s and Denny’s coworkers. The remains of Mr. Burris will lie repose on Sunday, April 27, 2019 from 1-6 PM  in the William V. Powell, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Unity Mortuary. The family will receive friends on Monday April 29, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM  at the mortuary with the Celebration of Life Service to follow with Pastor Jesse Williams officiating. The final resting place will be at New Gray Cemetery following the service. A white dove release will conclude the services. The family would like to thank the Tennova Hospital staff for their wonderful help and care.
