Anthony W. (Tony) Griggs, age 56, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at his residence in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; 2 aunts and 2 brothers. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Renita (Pooh) Griggs: 2 brothers, Darrell and Sean Griggs; sister, Loretta (Griggs) Coleman and the Coleman family; 2 children, Donta and Cassandrea Griggs; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; 3 stepchildren; several step-grand-children, Tony, had  and loved many more relatives and friends too numerous to name but each of you know who you are. The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 12:00-1:00pm at Unity Mortuary Chapel with Homegoing Celebration to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Highland South Memorial Park. Service will conclude with full dove release ceremony and blanket presentation.
