Tillery, Ingrid Renee – age 42, left her earthly home to join her Heavenly Father early Thursday, morning February 27, 2014. She was born on July 28, 1971. She was preceded in death by her father Louis Charles Tripplet. She is survived by son, Cameron Foster; daughter, Jada Tillery;  mother, and true queen Bertie Tillery; brothers, Jeffrey (Renee) Tillery, Keith (Vickie)  Tillery and Joey Tillery; sister, Tamara  McEldery; devoted aunts, Carlett Johnson, Marietta Chambers and uncle, Michael Chambers; devoted cousins, Christy and Sandie Johnson; best friend, Rolinda Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends and to all the spiritual strength of family at Roseberry City Church words cannot express our thoughts and to the ever inspiring U T Library and Police Department. The family will received friends on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 11:00 until 12:00 noon at Greater Warner AME Zion  Church with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Cedric Jackson  of First Baptist Roseberry City Church  officiating. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park – Sutherland Avenue. Services to conclude with full dove release.

Katrina (Candy) Wilson Hill

Hill, Katrinia (Candy) Wilson – of Knoxville, TN passed away at her home on Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Katherine Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Vincent Hill; son, Valdez Wilson; daughter, Nokishu Wilson; grandchildren; great- grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00-6:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM at Unity Mortuary with Elder Farris Long officiating. Interment to be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:30 AM the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Services to conclude with full dove release.

Cates, Howard – age 72, went to join the Lord on February 14, 2014 at Starr Regional Etowah Campus. He was born on November 29, 1941 in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by: parents, August and Ora Cates; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; 2 sons; 1 grandson; a host of nieces and nephews. Left to cherish his memory: daughters, Bridgett (Ernest) Eady and Pam Pannell; sons, Anthony, Ronnie (Girlie) Cates Steve Welcome; sisters Pauline Cates, Joyce Wykle and Stella Nichols; step-children, Connie, Vivian, William Tate and Michael Shawn Smith; special friends, Annie Cates and Carolyn Tate Cates; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 5:00-6:00 PM with service to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel.

Darrell Jerome Littlejohn

Littlejohn, Darrell Jerome – of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2014. He was born on August 25, 1960. He received an honorable discharge from the US Army and was a passionate church drummer until his health failed. Founder of the “Taking it to the Streets Ministry” where many people gave their lives to Christ. He was preceded in death by parents, Mack C. and Adelle Rooks Littlejohn, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted son, Darrell Bond; loving daughter, Ande’ Bond; grandchildren, Armani and Cayden; devoted sisters, Martha J. Littlejohn, Janice (Elbert) Hall, Bonnie Hall and Doris (Tim) Talley; sister-in-law, Minnie Littlejohn; special close friends, Ronald and Deborah Inman; childhood friends, Ricky Lomax, Pete Gary Moulden and Valeria Hodge, mother of his children; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to name. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6-7 PM at Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church with services to follow with Reverend Charles Darden officiating and Reverend Dr. Charles Sanderfur eulogist. Interment to be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway with full military honors. Services to conclude with full dove release.

Baby Aileena Nicole Wimbley

Wimbley, Baby Aileena Nicole – was born October 10, 2013 and passed gently into the arms of JESUS on February 9, 2014 at Children’s Hospital. We thank GOD for the brief time that we had our Baby Aileena. She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted parents, Tanisha Nicole (Nikki) Hughes and Richard Jermaine Wimbley Sr.; Siblings, Jalondre (Jason), Jkaijia (Shay Shay), Jamya (Mya) and Ricky Wimbley Jr.; Grandparents, Linda Hughes and Aileen Wimbley; Great grandmother, Margaret Smith; Uncle, Wardelle Hughes; Aunts, Latoya Jackson (Jerry Pittman), Aaronika Gary and Telisa Rodgers; a host of devoted family and friends to include Sherise Roell, Natalie Lindsey the Rodgers, Wimbley families and Linden Avenue community. Special thanks to the staff at UT Neonatal Unit, Vanderbilt Cardiac Unit in Nashville, Unity Mortuary for your professional special and kind services and Honey Rock Victorious Church for your compassion, support and opening up your doors. Services were rescheduled due to inclement weather and are as follows: Family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 11 am to 12 noon with the services conducted by Apostle Jerry Upton at Honey Rock Victorious Church at 12:00 noon located at 4113 Holston Drive, Knoxville, TN. 37914. Fishback, James Phillip – age 57 passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, February 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents, Bailey Ray and Daisy Ann Fishback; sister, Charlene Fishback Andrews; brother, Joe Fishback, Sr. and uncle, Walter Williams. Taylor, Joseph Daniel, age 63, of Knoxville, TN. passed away suddenly Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his residence. Joseph attended public school in Knoxville. He fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Macon, Georgia. He moved to Knoxville at the age of two. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Wesley Taylor, Sr. and Clara Simmons Taylor; brothers, Robert, Glenn, Allen and John Jr.; sister, Eleanor Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memory: sisters, Minnie L. Taylor of Washington, DC. and Opal M. Taylor of Knoxville; nephews, Robert A. Taylor, Jr. of Knoxville, Allen Taylor, Jr. of Macon, Georgia; nieces, Norma Jean and Patricia Brown of Knoxville, Belinda Gail Davis of Macon, Georgia; a host of great nieces and nephews; many devoted friends, including Victor Carero, Willie Crosby and Jeff Proctor of Knoxville.
