Drake, Margaret Bryant – of Knoxville, TN, transitioned into glory where she found eternal rest on Friday, March 30, 2012. She was a faithful member of Community Evangelistic Church, EPC and a member of Austin High School, Class of ’50. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah, grandson, Justin Walker-Riddles, mother, Zelma Bryant, aunt, Fannie Reese, devoted friend Nancy Cannon, and god son, Elmer Durham II. She is survived by her loving children and family members: Deborah (Lewis) Porter, Karen, Rodney, and Michael Walker, Connie Johnson (all of Knoxville), Elijah,Jr. (Los Angeles, CA); step daughter, Barbara Thompson (New York); grandchildren: Leslie Walker, Shay (Sanford) Miller, Christina Drake, Quishan, Tauron (all of Knoxville) and Ashley Walker (Houston, TX); great children, Lamar Harshaw, Alexis Dozier and Zane Miller; great-great grandchild, Lamar, Jr.; devoted daughter-in-law Sabrina Walker and son-in-law, Calvin Johnson; devoted cousin, Lillian Pflaumer (New Jersey); devoted god children: Trent Smith (Los Angeles, CA), Don Hatcher, Shirley Gray, and the Strongs (all of Knoxville); many nieces and nephews to include special niece, Trina Jones (all from SC and CA); devoted friend, Rose Williams (Cleveland, OH); a host of other family and friends to include the Community Evangelistic Church family. A special thank you to Dr. Gregory LeMence. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Community Evangelistic Church from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and funeral to immediately follow with Elder Reginald Strong officiating and other Elders assisting. The burial will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the TN Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, where a full dove release will conclude the service.

Mrs. Mary leaves to mourn her passing: beloved daughter, Debra Lawrence; grandchildren: Kermit (Linda), Tiffney (Paul) and William; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Jonathan was employed with the City of Knoxville and the UT Department of Transportation. Preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Delaney. Survived by son, Jonathan L. Jones; daughter, Halee Logan; father, Elder Bounds; brothers, Larry and Denife Jones; sisters, Nikki Bounds and Barbara Delaney; nephews, Nathan, DJ and Kevin Jones. Tuesday, March 20th, 2012Porter Moore, Ciondre’ Terrel “CEE” – departed this life on March 20, 2012. He was born September 27, 1975 to Bescetta Porter and Robert Moore. “CEE” was a loving son, devoted brother and a true friend to all who knew him. He was also the proud father of three children. While working at Diamond Mobile Carwash, “CEE” was known as the man with the cool disposition. Some would say “The coolest cat around,” and the family would have to agree. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvercia Porter, James Towns and Constance (Raymond) Moore, uncles, Kendall Porter, Doug and Michael Moore and a cousin, Kashar Porter. He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Ciondre’ T. Porter, Jr., Ciona M. Moore and Cameron T. Covington; mother, Bescetta Porter; father, Robert “Bobby” Moore; sisters, LaTanya T. and Monica S. Saturday, March 17th, 2012Davis, Jefferson, Jr. – age 82, went home to live with God on Saturday, March 17, 2012. “Jeff” was a veteran of the United States Army, retired Captain of the Knoxville City Police Department, former member of the Holston Masonic Lodge and co-founder and Chairman of Unity Mortuary. He was a lifetime member and trustee of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Davis was predeceased by his loving wife of 39 years, Arcelia, his parents, Jefferson (Mamie) Davis, Sr. and a grandson, Matthew McAllister. He leaves to mourn his passing: daughters, Christine Clarke of Powell, TN, Mardest Crosby of Toledo, OH, and Yvonne M.
