Brunson OBIT PIC\" src=\"http:\/\/unitymortuary.com\/obits\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Wilma-D.-Brunson-OBIT-PIC1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Brunson, Wilma Doris Billingsley<\/strong>&#8211; sunset November 11, 2011.\u00a0 \u201cI will sing to the Lord for He has been good to me.\u201d Psalms 13:6.\u00a0Doris quietly left this earthly journey after a lengthy illness.\u00a0 She was born to the union of Erma Wilson and William Billingsley on September 30, 1933 in Blount County.\u00a0 She spent her childhood and early school days on the family farm on Pea Ridge Road in the Pea Ridge Community.\u00a0 Doris attended Knoxville City Schools, graduating from Austin High School, Class of 1951.\u00a0Doris\u2019 life was filled with abundant love for her family, friends, neighbors and dearest classmates.\u00a0 The church was especially dear to her as well, being a founding member of the Betty Allyne Circle involving Christian Education and Sunday Morning Worship at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church.\u00a0 We pray this Lord\u2019s Day on deep thanksgiving.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Joseph Hoover Brunson, parents, William Billingsley and Erma Wilson (Robert Cecil) Waters, brothers, Clifford and Wilford Billingsley and Robert Gregory Waters, grandson, Travis Brunson and dear friends, Dorothy Whitelaw and Delores Alford.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her daughter, Mildred \u2018Missy\u201d Brunson; two devoted grandchildren, Jordan Brunson and Jeremy Simmons; brother, Kent A. (Vicki) Waters; sisters: Mildred B. Kelso, Cecelia J. Waters and Helen Ruth B. Reynolds of Riverside, CA; 12 nieces of Knoxville, Ohio and California; 6 nephews of Knoxville, Oak Ridge and Ohio; great nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends to include special friends, Alma (Tommy) Moore of Florida, Bessie Jeanette Dennis and the Walter P. Taylor Senior Complex Community.\u00a0 On Saturday, November 12, 2011, the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel.\u00a0 Reverend A.D.
