A native of Knoxville, Carolyn graduated from Austin High, Class of 1946 and Knoxville College. She retired from the Department of Energy-Y12 Plant. Carolyn was a faithful and loyal member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was very active in the community in many organizations. Preceded in death by parents, Theonder &amp; Nadia Goss; sisters, Alma and Nadia Goss; son, Byron Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory: several cousins, special friends and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Family. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 12 noon until 1 PM with funeral services to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 27214 Brooks Rd. Knoxville, TN The final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery following the service. A white dove release will conclude the services.
