James Whyte, of Knoxville, departed this life on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at UT Medical Center.\u00a0\u00a0 He was the former pastor of Clinton Chapel and Wallace Chapel in Knoxville.\u00a0 He leaves a loving wife, Rev. Marcia Whyte; daughters, Teri Whyte-Scott (Richard); Emily Whyte; Noelle Whyte; son, Isaiah Whyte; granddaughters, Amber Scott and Jaeda Scott; mother-in-love, Norma Smith and a host of family, friends, coworkers and colleagues.\u00a0 The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10:00 am with service beginning at 11:00 am at Greater Warner Tabernacle, 3800 MLK Avenue, Knoxville with Reverend John Butler officiating and Bishop Darryl Starnes eulogist.\u00a0 Interment will follow at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. John Sevier Highway at 1:30pm, services will conclude with military honors and full white dove release.
