She was a very faithful member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church for over 75 years. She also attended Wednesday night Bible Study until she felt unsafe to come out at night. She was a charter member of Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle \u201cSenior Saints\u201d for over 29 years. \u201cGoldie\u201d, as she was affectionately called, was a special person and was admired for her unique abilities and determination. Preceded in death by father, John H. Blance, mother, Elsie E. George Blance; grandmother, Lizzie B. Davis; grandfather, John P. George; uncles, John J. George and Florence Goldwyn George. Those left to cherish lasting memories: devoted cousins and caregiver, Margaret (Irvin) Willis; special cousins, Brandon (Shatoya<strong>)<\/strong> Willis of whom she dearly loved; Bettye (Isaac) Smith, Cleveland, OH, Anna B. Nance, Alfred Nance, Ronald Woodfin; many others cousins; devoted church family, Rogers Memorial Baptist Church; Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle; devoted friends. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Rogers Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 1:00 to 1:30 PM with funeral services to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Interment to follow at Crestview Cemetery.
