He was born March 17, 1944 in Knoxville, TN to Edward and Leanna Miller. Preceded in death by parents; 3 brothers; 4 sisters. Survivors: devoted wife, Gwendolyn Chaney-Miller; daughters, Yahphette (Marcus) Walton, Shawna Chaney, Felicia (Kurt) Mills; sons, Kwabena and Gary (Lejuan) Miller, and Perry (Whitney) Chaney, Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter;1 brother, Marvin (Pat) Miller; sister, Charlotte Thompson; several other relatives and special friends too numerous to name. Family will receive friends Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon with funeral services to follow at New Vision Church, 1608 Midpark Road, Knoxville, TN 37921 with Dr. Charles Sanderfur officiating. Interment to follow at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway with full military honors.
