Alvin Curtis “Dub” Mynatt, age 64, went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2016 at his residence in Knoxville, TN. He was a Godly brother, uncle, cousin and faithful servant of the true and living God. Up until his passing away, he faithfully taught a Monday Bible Study class at Serene Manor Nursing Home and a family Sunday afternoon Bible study class in the home of his brother. He was retired from KUB. He was born on August 13, 1952, to the late Ernest, Sr., and Alvelder Mynatt. He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters: Ernestine Russell of Tacoma, WA, Doris (John) Lawson, Kathy Smith, Verna Dean Mynatt and Deborah (Lee) Hardin of Knoxville; brothers: Ernie (BJ) Mynatt of Oakley , CA, Norman (Claudia) Mynatt of Stone Mountain, GA, Dennis (Irma) Mynatt, Vernon (Linda) Mynatt and Donney Mynatt of Knoxville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mr. Mynatt will be on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Sunrise Cemetery on Millertown Pike.

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016Carl Douglas Jones, age 77, of Louisville, TN, passed away October 26, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Maryville, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Jones, father, James Bartee and wife of many years Janice Stewart Jones. Carl is survived by his sons, Stewart H. Jones, Knoxville, C. Douglas Jones, II, Buffalo, New York, granddaughter, Janice Theresa Bazar Jones, Philippines, brother- in-laws, Stanley and wife Melissa, North Carolina and Jeff Stewart, New Jersey. The Jones Family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Unity Mortuary Chapel with memorial service to follow. Rev. Dr. Willa Estell officiating. There will be an Alpha Phi Alpha Omega Omega Service on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 6:30 Pm at Unity Mortuary Chapel.

He is survived by son, Jeris Jermaine Coker of Knoxville; sister, Alberta Freeman, Knoxville, brothers, Raymond (Kathy) Coker, Georgia, Victor (Loretta) Coker, Georgia; nieces, Latoya Coker, Georgia, Tracie Blair, Knoxville, Shanika and Jasmine Freeman, Knoxville; nephews, Andre Coffer, Knoxville, Raymond (Redd), Reynard, Bryan Coker, Georgia a host of great nieces, nephews and devoted cousins, Marilyn (Pain) Hereford, Jeffrey (Poohlou) Goodwin, Shirley Gray, devoted friends, Derron Aurett; devoted girlfriend Shelia (Becky) Kyle. The Coker family will receive friends Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. with Homegoing Celebration to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Services will conclude with military honors, a white dove release and blanket presentation.

Regina was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by daughter, Shonta Wilson, son, Lovell Wilson of Knoxville; grandchildren, Princess Wilson, Kataya Boatwright, Dezmon Nicely, Zahra Wilson, Naha ‘Via (Nana) Wilson ; sisters, Barbara (Richard), Grant, Julila Geter; brothers, Ronald, Montest, Calvin, Kenneth Wilson; niece, Ivonne (Pookie) Geter; devoted friends, James Woods who loved and cared for her until her passing, Aundrea Blair, Ester Franklin, Saundra Phillips, Jai Robinson, Carl Mills, Shannon Mills, Demetrius Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The Wilson family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. with the Homegoing Celebration to follow at 4:00 p.m., at Foster Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Tolbert officiating. The final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 12:00 noon. The body may be viewed on Saturday, October 22 after 12:00 noon. Services will conclude with a white dove release and blanket presentation.
