Angela Marie Jones was born in Knoxville, TN on the 4th of September 1961 to Herman and Stanley Martin. She was a graduate of Fulton High School, class of 1979. Angela was a dedicated employee of The Knox County Juvenile detention center for 16yrs. A social butterfly, she had a gift for making anyone feel welcome and comfortable. From her legendary mac & cheese, to “The Greatest Carrot Cake of All-time”, she always had everyone asking before holiday gatherings, “Is Angie cookin’?”. Angela’s warm heart was a blessing to experience. The kindness she shared with those who were fortunate to know her will always be remembered and greatly missed. For those of us she left behind here on earth, it is unfortunate that we will never again be able to see her beautiful smile, hear her contagious laugh, or listen as she sings one of her favorite songs. Paul said, “….to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord…” . We can take comfort in knowing that Angela is not dead but in the presence of God interceding for all of us. If we follow God’s path, we will be reunited in eternity with the sweetest, kindest, and most loving person we had the privilege of knowing, Angela Marie Jones. Preceded in death by mother Stanley Mae Martin, father Herman Edward Martin Sr., brother, Herman Edward Martin Jr., nephew Sadatt Foust.
