Unity Mortuary offers these goods and services to our customers. Talk to our staff to determine exactly what you will need and what you can omit. You choose what you want and we’ll work with you to identify the best and most affordable package for your needs. All funeral arrangements include a charge for our basic services and overhead. There will be no surprises. If legal or other requirements mandate purchasing items you did not specifically request, we will explain the reason in writing on a summary statement BEFORE you proceed.

DIRECT CREMATIONS

Our charge for a direct cremation, without any attendant rites or ceremonies includes:

• Local removal and shelter of remains and transportation to a local crematory.
• Cremation
• Necessary services of staff and authorizations

You may use an alternative container for a direct cremation. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without outside covering.) You may select a cardboard container that we provide or you may use a container from an outside source.

Infant services: information is available on request.

The only warranties, expressed or implied, granted in connection with any goods sold with this funeral service are the expressed written warranties, if any, extended by the manufacturer thereof. No other warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are extended by the seller.

CREMATION PACKAGE

Our cremation package, with a rental casket with full service, includes:

Basic service of director and staff
Removal from place of death
Embalming
Other preparation (dressing remains)
Use of chapel/room for funeral
Family car (50-mile radius)
Rental casket for cremation

Casket Spray
Hair Dresser
Organist
Minister (if we obtain)

CREMATION URNS

Many styles of urns are available.

NOTICE: WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR JEWELRY OR VALUABLES PLACED ON REMAINS OR IN CASKET.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Visiting Hours: 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m

ALL CREMAINS MUST BE PICKED UP AT OUR FIRM NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS AFTER CREMATION. WE WILL MAKE A STORAGE CHARGE OF $5.00 PER DAY AFTER THE SEVENTH DAY.

IMPORTANT: We will not permit unembalmed remains to be kept in our building over a 24-hour period, and will not place unembalmed remains in our visiting rooms or chapel for visitation or services unless the remains are in a sealed casket or sealed container.

We do not have refrigeration available at our facilities for storage.

Family members who desire to view the remains of an unembalmed person will be permitted to do so in our preparation room suites, all at one set time.
